Presentations
The following video "chapters" are from the Center's recent "Careers in Aging" event.
If you are sure you do not have the free Flash player plugin you can download it by clicking the Get Flash button and following the instructions. It should take only a few moments to download and install the player. You will need Flash player 7 or better to view these videos (you probably have a more recent version of the player already installed).
You may need to reload or refresh the page (F5 for windows users) a couple of times to persuade all the video files to load. These are progressive-load videos and should play well even on slow connections.
If you see color bars for the intro and black rectangles for the other segments, the videos are ready to play. Hover your mouse over the video area and a controller should appear if it is not already visable. Click the play arrow and the video should begin. You may need to adjust the volume as it was recorded quite low.
There are two seconds of black before the speaker's name will appear in the video.
Couple of things to keep in mind: video is resource intensive, both on the sending and on the receiving end. If the video stutters or stops please be patient. You may need to refresh the browser if it stops and simply will not start. Also you can start more than one video playing at the same time, but there is no good reason to do this as it will simply consume more resources and probably not play well not to mention the fact you'll have two or more people talking at once.
